TWO LATECOMERS

Madrid, Jan. 12, 2015

Having just returned from a long trip, I found these two late submissions for the Simesite year’s end wrap on my computer. The second of them, from Marge Prezioso, who used to work at the Valley Stream plant in Long Island where the paper was laid out each week, is brief and sad.

Happy Holidays! Sorry I am late in responding, but Shelley and I were away on an extended vacation to Myanmar (formerly Burma) and Cambodia. Both are fascinating places. Myanmar is definitely a nation on the rise; Travel and Leisure mag’s Jan. issue named it their Destination of the Year. Great old temples, very nice people, and offshore money starting to trickle in. And speaking of old temples, we saw Angkor Wat in Cambodia (amazing!) as well as the temple where they filmed Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. Great stuff.

As for work, I am now freelancing out of my house for a number of clients in the business and marketing fields, and looking to expand my base in 2015. Shelley is working for the Bank of Tokyo (2 years now) and doing fine.

Best,
Jay
